Well, it's alright.

-animations are fine
-sounds get a little irritting
-more weapons would have been nice (mines, flamethrower, gatling gun). Different slot for each weapon, Q and E to cycle between them
-change the single shot to a sniper that does more damage
-add more upgrades and things you can "buy" with energy - a faster recharge rate upgrade would have been awesome

Tip: different weapons seem to be more effective against different enemies. Oh, and use a grenade as soon as it's charged. They help... a lot.

Vorlek has a good point.

Doom was great and all, but how much work did you actually do to get that awesome score?

Nice

Glad to see that the game is mostly done.

One problem I notice with the AI in skirmish mode is that they like to spam the missile turrets a lot. it gets to be a real pain. I don't think that the missile turrets should be able to turn a planet neutral, but only destroy all defenders.

No other complaints, other than the campaign was too easy.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Dude, this is one of the coolest games i've ever played. I mean, who doesn't like ROBOTS! The part about making your own mvoies is stupid, but making robots to solve different objectives is VERY cool.

-Add different shapes (polygons, mostly)
-add unique tools (crane, cannon, grappling hook, etc...)
-music?

But this is awesome! PM me to discuss how to improve it.

Great; thanks so much for your suggestions, simbrian!

AWESOME!

I love you. This is an excellent game.

Just a few things...

-the upgrade menu feels awkward.
-i'd like to see the max speed on the build menu.
-i'd like to be able to sell old weapons
-I was really hoping for more weapon variety
-I found myself saying "that's it?" a lot after finishing a mission

yeah the guys below are idiots.

This game fully captures how REAL flak shells work. This is definitely a great defence game. Beautiful graphics, and fun gameplay. only problem is that it gets rather boring at the end after your units are all maxed out.

very cool

I quit at level 22, but this is a very interesting game. Once you learn how different patterns act, the levels get a bit easier. At least in the first few levels it's a simple matter of filling in gaps in the pattern.

But seriously, even if you don't like puzzle games, go to the sandbox mdoe and draw a straight line. It'll blow your mind what it does.

This game reminds me of Asimov's 3 laws of robotics for some reason. It's a very cool concept, whoever made this stuff up.

excellent

-excellent physics, just like you said
-the ads were not a bother at all. I don't know why people were bitching about them.
-only problem is the small number of levels. I would have played 50 levels of this before getting bored.

nice little game!

I have a few suggestions though

-helicopter should rotate instead of moing backwards
-lifting one-ton blocks should slow you down
-the pilot character doesn't look female

But still, fantasic game! I love the little planet. Very imaginative! Excellent physics work.

CMU responds:

I experimented during development with the cargo affecting flight. If I let the winch physics feed back into the chopper's physics, it became really hard to fly and removed all the fun. The downside of the way it is now is that it doesn't feel like you're carrying anything - the winch is essentially infinitely powerful. It also contributes to it's twitchyness a little too.

I liked the asymmetry of the chopper not turning round. It's a different shape front-to-back, which changes your tactics in a few places. Most real helicopters can fly backwards too, of course.

beautiful

-no perceptable way to get back to the menu if you decide to quit a game
-i would have liked it if there were more tower options, for different styles
-I was reluctant to buy weapon upgrades at the beginning because it felt like a waste of money. Add the option to sell old weapons that you don't need anymore.

Still, great game!

I like paintballing, reading, and watching flash videos. Gaming's also right up there.
